ESRI (Thailand) Co., Ltd. would like to announce that the owners of Garmin GPS devices and Dopod/HTC units (only the models that are bundled with Garmin Mobile XT) can now update to the new TSM version 10.0. The latest map includes several enhancements such as:

• Add more than 1,000 images of new Junction View
• Update approximately 500,000 POIs (Point-of-Interest) for the whole country that have been either opened and closed from the past year by actual field survey
• Add and update about 10,000 kilometers of road data
• Add the exits in Highway Mode for major roads, not just the highways
• Add entrances and exits on major buildings and landmarks
• Add local voice navigation for all 4 regions of Thailand (for compatible devices)
• Add about ten thousand of new telephone numbers
• Improve map data quality
• Miscellaneous improvements

  The company offers 3 channels of the map updating service as follows:

Channel #1 
Downloading TSM v.10.0 from www.GPSsociety.com website.  The download would be ready on November 4, 2009 starting from 15:00 (TSM v.10.0 needs about 130 MB. of storage memory for Thai language map and 120 MB. for English language map). The download time depends on the speed of your internet connection.

Channel #2 
Picking up the map CD at company office.  Please follow the procedures below:

Step 1: Select one channel below for the map CD registration:

•  Website : www.GPSsociety.com or
•  Fax : No. 0-2266-9944, please indicate serial number, model, name, current address, and phone number. or
•  Telephone : No. 0-2266-9945 or
•  E-mail : tomap-registration@cdg.co.th. Please indicate serial number, model, name, current address, and phone number. or
•  Letter : sent to the company address completed with serial number, model, name, current address, and phone number (with the date stamped on your envelope by the post office).

Step 2:  You can pick up your TSM v.10.0 CD after the company received your registration information.  Please wait 3 working days and check your status on www.GPSsociety.com before picking up your CD for your convenience.

Step 3:  Pick up your map CD at:

Channel #3 
Asking the company to deliver your CD to your address via mail service by paying 150 baht ( if you own more than one unit and prefer to send CDs to the same address, you pay only 150 baht ).  This cost includes:  parcel post registration fee, taxes, shockproof envelope, processing staffs, etc.  Please follow the procedures below:

Step 1:  Select one channel below for the map CD registration:

•  Fax : No. 0-2266-9944, please indicate serial number, model, name, current address, and phone number. or
•  Telephone : No. 0-2266-9945 or
•  E-mail : to map-registration@cdg.co.th. Please indicate serial number, model, name, current address, and phone number. or
•  Letter : sent to the company completed with serial number, model, name, current address, and phone number (with the date stamped on your envelope by the post office).

Step 2:  After registration, please deposit the payment to:

Step 3:  Please fax your deposit slip to 0-2266-9944.

Step 4:  You will receive your map CD within 7 working days after faxing the deposit slip to the company (you can check your status on www.GPSsociety.com).

Map Update Policy

Everyone who buys GPS by Garmin or Thailand map only is eligible for free map update for one year. After one year period is expired, you need to pay the update cost. Below is the map update policy:

1.  For those who pay for the map update before or within April 7, 2009: you are still eligible for free update on TSM v.10.0. Your right will expire on April 7, 2010.

2.  For those who pay for the TSM v.9.0 map update starting from April 8, 2009:  you are still eligible for TSM v.10.0 free map update (already including the delivery fee if you perfer the mail service). If you don't request for TSM v.10.0 update, the company will assume that you give up your right for a free map update. You can't transfer this right to update other versions of Thailand map.

Map Update Cost

1.  For units that are out-of-warranty: you can check your status on www.GPSsociety.com or call 0-2266-9945.  The cost of map update for TSM v.10.0 is 900 baht (nine hundred baht)- already including the delivery cost.

2.  For units that still within warranty period: you can register for free map update (only applicable to map data) by selecting the map update service as mentioned above.

3. For users who buy map only: you wouldn't be able to register for map downloading.  Please contact map update staff at map-registration@cdg.co.th or call 0-2266-9945.

 Note: For those who choose to download the new map,  you must register as the memeber of www.GPSsociety.com website first:

• Click at "Member" on the Home page.
• Click at "Create new User" for the first time user.  If you already are the website's member, you just enter Username and Password and Sign in.
• Enter all the necessary information and click "Register".
• Sign in and click "Product List" and "Add Product".
• Register your product by selecting the Garmin model and entering your serial number (for Dopod/hTC products, please use the IMEI code).
• When your unit is found, you then click on "Update Map" icon.

If anyone has problem regarding the registration, please send the following information:

• Your preference of User name and Password
• Your first and last name
• Current address
• Telephone number
• Email (if available)
• Garmin /hTC model
• Garmin serial no./hTC IMEI code - you can check your IMEI code by dial *#06# or go to Today screen and tap Start > Settings > System > Device Information > Identity.
